Yes it’s been a long time coming, but then again, some blog entries are worth the wait
Powerhouse had their first ‘Worship Until Something Happens’ (WUSH) at Griffith Uni last Saturday (same time as the UQ Law Ball). The name speaks for itself – we worshipped…until something happened. I think those who were there can say that something did happen that night
.
If you’re expecting an entry where I kneeled down and just cried my eyes out in response to God’s presence, you’ll be disappointed (read my entry about 2007 Ablaze Camp for that). WUSH was more of a time of realisation rather than being overwhelmed.
There were really two things God spoke to me about
1) The fact that I don’t need to prove myself to the world
2) That God needs to be the reality, rather than just real, in my life.
I could go on a very long expositional about how those two statements really made me stop and reflect, but I won’t: those interested can talk to me. To cut a potentially long blog entry short, I just made realise that God is enough and that I don’t need to be the most awesome person ever to walk on this planet to have the grace and love of God.
Other highlights include Mark and Chris revealing their inner juvenile playing with the Griffith chairs, posing for photos and half of Powerhouse gesticulated wildly at Mae to lead her to the right exit. Good times, good times.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
This is seriously the verse that has convicted and resonated the most in me during this season. It’s an awesome passage.
